Montessori Community School at Brookfield
Our goal at Montessori Community School (MCS) at Brookfield -- located in Brookfield, Connecticut - - is to provide high-quality private education, life preparation, and exceptional childcare for pre-school and Kindergarten children ages three to six years old, in Brookfield, Danbury, Ridgefield, Newtown, Bethel, New Milford, Southbury, and the surrounding communities.
Montessori at Brookfield is a not-for-profit school with an outstanding reputation since our doors first opened in 2001. Families choose our school because we are much smaller than most private schools in the area, which enables us to successfully give each child personalized attention and individual encouragement to build social and emotional development; independence; confidence; and intellect.
Our dedicated and passionate teachers are all certified in Montessori education, in addition to other extensive training, and collectively have over 35 years of experience working with young children. We also have leading childhood educators at our school who specialize in music and Spanish language instruction, including the internationally recognized “Music Together†program each week.
The Montessori Community School at Brookfield is nestled beyond the view of the road, just off Route 25 on the Brookfield/Newtown, CT line. The school is in close proximity to Danbury, Bethel, Ridgefield, New Fairfield, New Milford, Bridgewater, Southbury, and the surrounding area.
We have beautiful outdoor playgrounds and a lovely open field for various activities and events. We believe in plenty of outdoor time for exploration and play.
Inside our large, light-filled classrooms we have traditional Montessori materials and a wide variety of stimulating, educational and artistic activities.
We also have a school library with books and videos for children to sign-out as well as resources for our parent community.
Montessori's educational approach has changed the learning process throughout the world. There are approximately 22,000 Montessori schools worldwide. Montessori schools teach children from as early has birth to 18 years old when children become adults.
There are different levels of Montessori development. The schools we list provide different levels and practices of the Montessori educational system/approach. Call the phone number listed for more information and/or to set up an appointment to visit the school.
