GREAT BEGINNINGS Montessori School is an independent preschool and elementary school. We provide a happy and secure, mixed-age environment for children ages 18 months through 9 years. Our programs are based upon the Montessori method. The Montessori curriculum and prepared environment encourage students to fulfill their developmental potential and become independent, self-confident learners. Each classroom has a full complement of Montessori materials and is lead by a trained, credentialed Montessori teacher. The classrooms are bright and inviting. Large windows look out onto the playground and garden areas used by the children for recreation and nature study. GREAT BEGINNINGS Montessori School aims to provide a happy and secure mixed age environment for children ages 18 months - 9 years old. Here the children can fulfill their developmental potential and become independent, self-confident individuals. Children are given lessons with materials developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. They are then free, within limits, to choose their own activities. As each child explores the materials s/he discovers and masters a series of skills, which lay the foundation for their future schooling and life.

We ask anyone interested in GREAT BEGINNINGS Montessori School to schedule an observation time when you can see the school and meet the teachers. At that time, if you would like to apply to the school, we will give you the necessary forms. Later we will schedule an interview with you and your child to come to the classroom to meet with a teacher and Head of School for a short visit.
