The Hockessin Montessori School is an independent, non-profit school, founded in 1963, which promotes quality education for children ages 12 months through Eighth grade. As a non-sectarian school, our population is drawn from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The classroom environment stimulates intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and cultural growth. The school promotes development of self-motivation, independence, curiosity, and concern for others within the framework of a developmentally appropriate academic program.
As an accredited affiliate of the American Montessori Society (AMS), we follow professional guidelines for operating and equipping a Montessori school.
